Code of Conduct Bureau visit Ministry of Finance

*KWSG TO ENHANCE PARTNERSHIP WITH CODE OF CONDUCT BUREAU* 


The Kwara State
 Government has restated its dedication to collaborating with the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) to strengthen ties and align efforts with a view to ensuring public servants adhere to the rules and regulations of the CCB in the promotion of transparency and accountability in the discharge of their duties.

Dr. Hauwa Nuru, the Honourable Commissioner for Finance, affirmed this commitment during a courtesy visit by the Zonal Director of the Code of Conduct Bureau to her office in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital.

 Dr. Nuru emphasized Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq's unwavering commitment to combating corruption, highlighting the necessity of the collaboration with the CCB, especially in the public sector.

The Commissioner expressed gratitude to the CCB Zonal Director for the visit, acknowledging the importance of enhancing the harmonious working relationship between the Ministry and the Code of Conduct Bureau.

The Permanent Secretary, Mall. Folorunsho Abdulrasaq commended Dr. Yusuf Sherifat, the new Zonal Director of the CCB, as fitting seamlessly into her role, expressing optimism about her leveraging on  her experience to foster a seamless synergy between the Ministry and the CCB.

Dr. Yusuf Sherifat,  emphasized the importance of educating public servants on the significance of the Code of Conduct Bureau form in eradicating corruption. She underscored the constitutional role of the CCB in resolving conflicts of interest in asset declaration and verification.

Dr. Yusuf assured of the CCB's  continued collaboration with the  government based on findings during assets evaluation and assessment of public servants.

Also present at the meeting was the State Accountant General, Mall Abdulganiyu Sani.
